King Power Thai Power has continued to boost the sport potential for youth across the country by installing more faux grass football pitch to selected schools and communities under the own initiative – 100 Football Pitches to Strengthen Thai Youth Power. Thawangphapittayakhom School in Nan Province is the latest school to gain the benefit of this initiative.
At the launch of the new faux grass football pitch, Tourism and Sports Minister Weerasak Kowsurat, King Power Group Chairman Aimon Srivaddhanaprabha, Nan’s Vice Governor Viboon Vaewbundit and School Principal Dr. Napapron Sangnil are present together with Mario Maurer and Alex Rendell, two actors who went there to show their football skills in the first match on the new pitch.
Tourism and Sports Minister Weerasak Kowsurat said that King Power’s 100 Football Pitches to Strengthen Thai Youth Power which was initiated to install 33 m x 53 m faux grass football pitch for 7 players for the people of Nan provided the children and the local in the community a chance to improve their football skills. Consequently, this will demonstrate the value of sport in a more substantial fashion and will lead to a healthy gathering with and aim to play football. Eventually, the people in the community will be united and the community will be strengthened.
King Power Group Chairman Aimon Srivaddhanaprabha said that 100 Football Pitches to Strengthen Thai Youth Power project was born from the determination to let Thai youth across the country to have an access to football playing on a quality and safe pitch which lived up to the world standard. The aim is to install a football pitch for 100 schools and communities with in 2022. This time it is the turn for educational institutes in the northern region; 30 high schools, 20 primary schools. It is hoped that the faux grass football pitch installed at Thawangphapittayakhom School will benefit children in this community and its neighbours and that the pitch will be well-kept as it is the property of the school and the community so everyone can enjoy it in a sustainable fashion.
So far 100 Football Pitches to Strengthen Thai Youth Power has installed a faux grass football pitch for 40 schools. Within this year King Power Thai Power expects to install a pitch for 20 more locations.
