WONDERFUL WORLD

Places that still linger in the memory of “Nat” Aniporn Chalermburanawong,
Miss Universe Thailand 2015 who has a beautiful face and a positive attitude

LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND

When I was young, in the books I read, I saw pictures of people singing near mountains and lakes. I didn’t really understand why they sang — was it because they felt happy in nature? I looked at the canals in our country and still didn’t get it. When I had a chance to visit Lucerne, especially Lake Lucerne, I saw crystal clear water, with swans and ducks swimming. Majestic mountains were in the background, the sky was clear and the fields were green. Then, I understood why those people were so happy and wanted to sing. My favourite place was Kapellbrücke, the Kapellbrücke is the oldest wooden covered bridge. The swans were very friendly and were not afraid of people — they would actually swim to you.

FLORENCE, ITALY

I visited Florence on my trip to Europe. What I love most about it — and this might sound funny — is gelato. I can eat it all day long, especially berry flavoured ones. My favourite is Gelateria Santa Trinita. The price isn’t too high. If you’re in Florence, you should try it. The view is also very beautiful. Florence is a city of art, and I love exploring small streets and souvenir shops. In summer, the days are long and the nights are short, and the sun doesn’t set until 8-9pm. When the sun sets, the whole city turns orange. It’s absolutely beautiful.

DISNEYLAND PARIS, FRANCE

I never really liked Paris because it felt a bit lonely — the weather, the colour and the people. Recently, I had a chance to visit Paris again with other models and I still felt lonely. But there’s an exception — Disneyland Paris. I am crazy for Disney characters, and I made it a point to wait for the parade. I wasn’t disappointed — I got to see characters from Frozen, Cinderella and many more. I even wore a Donald Duck hat! I was insanely happy. I tell everyone “Disneyland is the Happiest Place on Earth” and I still think so today.
