Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar – Bangkok’s newest destination is bringing you an incredible dinner in an opulent atmosphere
with a hint of passion for travel complete with a sensational bird’s eye view.

Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar – Thailand’s highest restaurant and bar – is nestled on Level 76 and 77 of the distinctive pixel-design King Power Mahanakhon Building. Every nook and cranny of this place was designed by the prevailing force in the interior design world – Wilson Associates’ Tristan Auer. The recipient of the industry’s several coveted awards including Maison & Objet 2017 and The European Hotel Design of the Year 2015, Tristan Auer specialises in haut design projects including the legendary Carlton Hotel Cannes and Le Scribe Hotel Paris.

Taking an inspiration from endless stories of eclectic escapes from the bustle of Bangkok which take place along the Chaopraya River, the meticulous design can be experienced from the very first step off an elevator where the refined wooden paneled entrance led you into the warm and inviting vibe of the rectangular dining area. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows reveal the majestic views of the Chaopraya River and the sprawling metropolis.

The interior of the Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar relies on the contemporary elegance which is delicately beautiful and majestically powerful in equal measure while successfully manages to emit a sense of warm hospitality at the same time. Three main colours; brown, cream and green emit the sophisticated French opulence and the exquisite Thai elegance to portray the tales of adventurous journey away from the urban chaos. Decoration items adding a sense of escapade include a bull head sculpture, stacks of antique French books and exotic ceramic Japanese earthenware ooze the charm of adventurous journeys.

One of the main dining areas is on Level 76 featuring modern pieces of furniture for couples as well as sofa sets for a group of diners. Dining tables may look plain but the design of table tops is adorned with tiny egg shell pieces handcrafted in the style which once prevailed in France to emulate the stars on the night sky. Guests can also enjoy dining al fresco and get immersed in the tropical rain forest green theme of Oasis in the Sky.

Level 77 is reserved as VIP lounges which are tastefully design to cater private parties offering ample space between tables to let everyone enjoy vista of Bangkok in full.

Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar also boasts glorious food with Executive Chef Joshua Cameron at the helm. He has earned wealth of 20-year experience at several Michelin-starred restaurants; Eleven Madison Park, Aska and Betony, plus a reputation as creator of gourmet food for VIPs and celebrities’ private parties in the US. Armed with thorough understanding of food science, Executive Chef Joshua Cameron has extensively travelled to source for the flavours and ingredients across the world in order to craft new creative dishes which are full of imagination.

Courtesy of Executive Chef Joshua Cameron, Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar is proud to present a collection of signature dishes. The highlights include Hokkaido Uni Panna Cotta – a combination of premium Japanese ingredients and fine French culinary arts. Oyster fans would enjoy big Mr. Jean-Paul, Normandy Oysters which served hot with spicy Thai-style seafood sauce or cold with mild sour mulberry sauce. Stuffed Whole Free Range Chicken may look like a plain baked chicken but this actually the case of “Don’t judge the book by its cover”. 48-Hour Australian Short Ribs is sous vide prime ribs cooked perfectly while the meat inside remains juicy and tender. Then the ribs will be grilled to achieve a charred outside and served with cous cous, eggplants and grapes.

Dessert menus here are also highly praised. We recommend Kaffir Lime Cheese Cake which is inspired by tasty Thai produce; dragon fruit, mango, mangosteen and passion fruit. Rich Chocolate Tart has just the right degree of sweetness.

At Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar, there are a feast for the eyes and the palate. You can savour the divine haute cuisine and relish one of the most stunning views Bangkok has to offer. Moreover, world-class mixology and superb wine collections are also served here as well. This is definitely Bangkok’s most swanky dining spot worth your visit when you are in the capital of Bangkok. Lunch is served daily from 11.00 am. – 3 pm. and dinner at 5 pm. – 1 am. For reservations, please call 0 2677 8722 or visit www.mahanakhonbangkokskybar.com.
