Believing in the power of Thai people, King Power Group enlisted its alliance in the Northeastern Thailand of over 300 lives to take part with Kao Kon La Kao’s Toon – Artiwara Kongmalai in a 2-day charity relay running from Nong Khai to Khon Kaen on 15-16 June 2019. The troop finished this 187-kilometre route in just 48 hours raising the fund for 8 hospitals in the Northeastern region in need of medical equipment.

Since King Power Group previously distributed faux grass football pitches in the Group’s 100 Football Pitches to Strengthen Thai Youth Power Project, the Group has formed an alliance with the youth of Nong Khai’s Banduatai School, Udon Thaini’s Anubansangkhom School and Khon Kaen’s Srimuangphon Rajaprajanukroh School which were on the route of the charity run. The Group brought 300 youth from 3 schools to run with Toon in order to boost his morale in achieving this new milestone.

Master Woradej Duangprasert (centre) aged 11 years studying in fifth grade at Anubansangkhom School in Udon Thani said, “I’m so excited when I knew I’m gonna run with Brother Toon. Before coming here today, I practiced running for 7 kilometres every day when I got home from school. Being a part of the team supporting this project makes me really happy. I wanna do good things just like Brother Toon.”

Moreover, King Power’s alliance also includes Nakhon Ratchasima’s Suranari Wittaya School whose symphony band won Thailand International Wind Symphony Competition 2019 Championship. The band chimed in to perform and lifted up the mood at the Kao Kon La Kao Exhibition which took place at Khon Kaen City Hall on 15-16 May 2019.

Khon Kaen people and those from neighbouring provinces also came to cheer them on to the finish line at Khon Kaen City Hall. The whole route covered a distance of 187 kilometres.
