“Professional footballer” is a dream career for Thai kids who are football fanatic. King Power Group is willing and able to make them realise their dreams in the global arena through several CRS projects under the King Power Thai Power banner including “Fox Hunt” taking Thai youth with football talents under our wings and flying them to Leicester City in the UK for football education. Recently, we just announced 10 youth who’s made the cut for Fox Hunt Generation 4. Morever, there are also “Million Footballs, Million Power, for Thai Youth Dreams” which aims to distribute 1 million footballs to youth across Thailand within 5 years and “100 Football Pitches Driving the Power of Thai Youth” which installing faux grass football pitches to selected 100 schools and communities within 5 years. The latest school to have received one of the football pitches is Lampang’s Bann Jomping School. Attending the presentation ceremony were Khun Niphon Raksriaksorn, King Power Group Executive Vice President – Group Markting, Lieutenant Commander Worawit Techasupakura, Vice Minister for Tourism and Sports, Khun Surapol Burintrapant, Vice Governor of Lampang, Khun Prawet Netsuwan, Director of Bann Jomping School, and Thailand’s favourite icon Toon – Artiwara Kongmalai. The pitch was given with a hope that students can make the most of it in practising and developing their football skills as part of the preparation for their path to become a professional footballer.

Khun Niphon Raksriaksorn said, “For the past three years, King Power Group has been supporting football on a continuous basis in line with King Power Thai Power’s objective to promote Thai society in a sustainable fashion in the area of sports. We’ve seen lots of Thai kids who are passionate about the sports of football. Some are very good and talented but they lack opportunities. We believe that providing them with standard football pitch will help paving the way for them to go after their dream. So far we’ve seen how the children and people in the communities effectively gain benefits from our 33×53-metre faux-grass pitch for 7 players. They could practise their skills when they have free time or during holiday. It’s time well-spent as well as a good way to get healthy. Our goal is to install 100 pitches within 2022. At present, we’ve finished installing as many as 60 pitches across Thailand.”

Lieutenant Commander Worawit Techasupakura said, “King Power Group has provided our school with a football pitch as part of “100 Football Pitches Driving the Power of Thai Youth” helping our students to improve their sports skills and boost their talents. It also benefits our community as a whole when people are gathered for sports. It creates unity and strength among members of the community. This collaboration between government and private sectors has raised the bar of sport standards. As you can see, communities in remote areas could also gain an access to world-standard football pitches.”

Moreover, there was also a highlight which was a special football match; Kao Khon La Kao Team led by Toon, press members VS Lampang’s Bann Jomping School Team.
