The season of happiness is here once again. If you’re looking for New Year presents for yourself or your loved ones, don’t miss “King Power and Disney’s Endless Celebrations”, a mega event hosted by King Power Group and The Walt Disney (Thailand) to mark the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse at King Power Rangnam.
This festive season, King Power transforms King Power Rangnam into a magical wonderland to offer endless happiness to Thai and foreign customers. This special event is divided into six different zones to indulge customers with a wide array of entertainment and activities. At “Garden of Dreams”, the first Mickey Mouse-themed garden in Thailand set in the middle of Rangnam Road, visitors could pass for a dream land with a field of fresh, colourful and real flowers. Photo spots are provided with different Disney characters and moreover everyone can have fun with the games and activities in the garden.
Next is “Celebration Express”, a lovely fun-packed train with the Mickey icon-shaped windows serving as the perfect backdrop for photos. The interior mimics a real train but the windows feature graphic animations of the stunning natural scenery, giving you a feeling of being on a moving train.
When on board, one feels as if the train is in motion seemingly on its way to the “Mickey & Friends Boulevard”, which is designed like a real street complete with shops and activities. Decorations on both sides of the buildings are inspired by Disney friends such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Chip and Dale. To entertain visitors, there are activities and workshops open to fans of all sexes and ages. The highlight in the evening is a parade that will create a memorable and impressive experience for all.
“Mickey Hallway” comes alive with a long interactive wall displaying lovely graphics and featuring screens for gamers. The games change according to the theme of each month. In November, visitors had fun throwing balls (featuring Disney characters) into a Mickey Mouse-shaped hoop. December is a time to make Mickey Mouse-shaped snow models. January abounds with prize boxes. When its screen is touched, the box will pop open and set off a few fireworks.
“Mickey Gallery” hosts an art exhibition titled “Welcome Mickey to Thailand” featuring paintings created on Mickey Mouse models by Thailand’s well-known artists, A-list entertainers and celebrities.
Another must-visit zone is Mega Store, a shopper’s paradise featuring licensed merchandise from Disney with special limited-edition collections designed exclusively for the festive season. For the first time, the full-range “Sawasdee” collection of Mickey Mouse products will be offered. The “Pop Culture” range will come in a wide array of choices for all
ages, including fashion items for kids and adults, ranging from T-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, and jackets to hats, all sporting adorable Disney characters.
Travellers will love the luggage tags, luggage straps, trolley luggage in 20”, 24” and 28” sizes, luggage covers in 24” and 28”, and neck cushions which are also available in a hooded version.
For those who love accessories, don’t miss cute Disney key chains, long and short umbrellas, stand pen cases, headbands, and bags in various styles such as tote bags, portable bags, wallets and backpacks for both kids and adults.
