CITY SLICKER

“Proud” Oranicha Krinchai, a former member of Olives and an iconic fashion influencer, will take you to explore three captivating cities that you will fall in love with.

STORY: TAWAN KONKAEW

PARIS, FRANCE

First of all, I must say that the trip to Paris was very short – only three days. It was in the summer season. I felt that the city, the weather and the sky were so beautiful. Everything has a hint of culture and chicness. I walked out from the Louvre Museum and passed Jardin des Tuileries. I saw Parisien locals sunbathing around the fountain, reading, listening to music, chatting with their loved ones. Everyone looked so relaxed, and I felt that I could just sit there all day. Another great museum is the Musée National d’Art Moderne in Centre Pompidou where you can explore new talents’ works. It’s an eye-opening experience. I wrapped up the trip with foie gras at Le Comptoir de la Gastronomie, a small restaurant established in 1894. The food is very delicious and the price is reasonable.

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

To me, South Korea has endless energy. Every time I visit, it’s different — there are new places to explore. Whether I return in six months or a year, there is always something new. Seafood in Korea is also very fresh. I want to recommend a restaurant in Hongdae called Pro Soy Crab, which is famous for fermented crab and squid cooked with kimchi. I also love how creative Korean beauty products are. There’s a shop called Tamburins in Garosugil. At first glance, it looks more like an art gallery, but it’s actually a skincare shop selling various products. First they started out selling only skincare but now there’s more variety.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM

I’m familiar with this city the most because I spent three months there. The beauty of London is that when you are dressed up, people will give you compliments or ask you where you got the outfit from. In some cities, if you’re dressed up, people look at you like you’re crazy. London is also a great place to shop for clothes because it has everything in every price range. I like checking out Dover Street Market if I want to buy something pretty, but for something that is one-of-a-kind, the Sunday market at Shoreditch is the place to be. You can eat and shop in one place. Just give it a try.
