DFNIF-Frontier Asia Pacific Awards, 2020, recognising excellence in the travel-retail and duty-free sector across Asia and Pacific, announced King Power the winner of two top awards – Asia Pacific Airport Travel Retailer of the Year and the CSR or Sustainability Initiative of the Year.
The Asia Pacific Airport Travel Retailer of the year attests to professionalism of King Power in managing airport duty-free stores organising commercial activities. It has been singled out as a business which has put continuous efforts in enhancing even better quality of its goods and services for travellers from around the world. The highest votes given to King Power have placed it at the top, beating other finalists – Delhi Duty-Free of India, Hyderabad Duty-Free of India and The Shilla Duty Free of South Korea.
It is also with great pride and pleasure when King Power wins the CSR Award or Sustainability Initiative of the year at this event. King Power Group has continuously undertaken more than a dozen activities dedicated to social welfare. Some admirably successful projects include Sport Power, Music Power and Community Power. It has also embraced the development and promotion of the travel industry. With its social empowerment policy, King Power Group has received the highest votes among the nominees, namely Delhi Duty-Free, India, Dubai Duty-Free, UAE, Lotte Duty-Free, South Korea, Ever Rich Duty-Free, Taiwan and the Wild Tiger’s Roar Trip Project, India.
The DFNI-Frontier Asia Pacific Awards 2020 is organised by the Duty-Free News International magazine (DFNI Magazine), which recognises excellence in the travel-retail and duty-free sector across Asia and the Pacific. The awards are judged by a panel of high-profile, esteemed industry experts from across the industry and entries are invited from retailers, airports, brands and other stakeholders across the travel retail channel. The virtual awards presentation was broadcast on www.dfnionline.com in the absence of a live ceremony, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19. When the situation improves, all the awards and winners’ logos will be mailed out to the winning enterprises.
For the record, King Power has so far won awards in as many as six categories from DFNI-Frontier Asia Pacific Awards.
