Practical beauty secrets for Valentine’s Day

1. If you want your skin to appear natural, do not apply foundation all over your face. Instead of applying five small dots and blending it on the skin, only apply a tiny dot where necessary. Warm it on the back of your hand first. This way, it looks more natural.

2. Sometimes, liquid concealer can be too watery and does not cover your marks well. Put your liquid concealer into smaller jars, and leave the lid on for 15 minutes to let the oil evaporate a little. This way, the texture becomes thicker and your concealer can better cover your spots.

3. If you want to use your concealer to cover your acne spots and dark spots throughout the day, apply loose powder on the area before applying concealer. Oily skin does not catch the concealer well. Apply concealer on the area and let it set for a few minutes before blending. This way, the concealer stays longer on the skin.

4. To layer your scents without mixing them all up, apply the main scent, which best suits your character, on your ear lobes and your chest, forming a golden triangle. Then, apply another scent that suits your mood — upbeat, sexy or innocent — on your arms and wrists. This way, the second scent comes out when you move, adding an interesting twist to your character.

5. When travelling to a cold and dry place, use handcream on your skin after a shower. A good handcream can restore your dry hands, as well as your dry body skin.

6. If your skin peels, use lip balm to massage the skin for a quick relief. This will help soothe the peeling.
