The Football Association of Thailand under Patronage of His Majesty the King held a press conference as it signed an MoU with King Power Group to support the construction of King Power National Football Training Centre on 150-rai plot of land allocated by the Association in Muak Lek District, Saraburi Province.
The MoU was signed by the Association President Pol. Gen. Somyot Poompunmuang and King Power Group CEO and Leicester City Football Club Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha. King Power is ready to leverage the experience and technical know-how gained from managing of LCFC to lay a good foundation to improve Thai football. This training centre will benefit the local communities, youth, coaches, judges, physical therapists, sports medicine physicians all the way to sports scientists. Apart from being a football training centre, it is slated to be the host for national football competitions for youth. Similar to The Football History Association of Thailand which has a contemporary design, this training centre will also be used as a venue for seminar for external agencies as well as a recreational destination for the general public.
