Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha succeeds the late Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and has been named Chairman of Leicester City Football Club and Oud-Heverlee Leuven. He is committed to continue to lead the Clubs in the pursuit of a vision he and his father began when their Leicester City journey started nearly a decade ago.

It is a vision the Srivaddhanaprabha family, the Board of Directors, management, players and staff members remain wholly committed to turning into Khun Vichai’s legacy. Aiyawatt’s previous role of Vice Chairman will be filled by his brother, Apichet Srivaddhanaprabha, who retains his position on the Club’s Board of Directors.

Leicester City Football Club

Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said: “It is a privilege to become the next chairman of this great Club and to lead the Leicester City family into the next chapter of what has already been an extraordinary story. It feels like there is so much more to come.

“As we approach the start of the new season, there is genuine excitement and positivity in the football community about what we can achieve. We have an exciting young squad, an outstanding manager and staff, all backed by an energised and engaged supporter base.

“Next summer, our football operation will move to a brand new training facility that will be among the best in Europe, while the process of consulting our community on the proposed expansion of King Power Stadium has also begun.”

“These developments were all part of my father’s dream for Leicester City. It’s a dream that belongs to all of us now and it will be my honour to lead the Club as we pursue that dream together.”

On the eve of Leicester City’s 10th season under King Power International’s stewardship, Khun Aiyawatt becomes the 31st Chairman in the history of the Club, which remains wholly owned by the Srivaddhanaprabha family.

Oud-Heverlee Leuven Football Club

“It is an honour to take over the role of chairman of OH Leuven. From the moment we arrived at this club, just over two years ago, it felt like the club and its supporters shared the same values as we do. That always gave us the confidence to help the club in its progression.

Over two years is just a short period of time. Nevertheless, we have already made several improvements within the club. I still have a vision of further accomplishments which we can achieve together in the future. ”

“I was at the King Power at Den Dreef Stadium during the opening match and I felt the excitement among fans, coach, staff and management. We will keep on working to strengthen the team and walking towards to achieving our desired goals. ”

“My father left me the important task of making his dreams come true. These are dreams that we all share and I look forward to working together to realize them. ”
